About DJ Tom

I have over 12 combined years experience in the Music & Disc Jockeying industry.

History - short version

At the age of 17, DJ Tom started out as an intern for a Radio station in the earily 80's. During my couple of years there I learned how to engineer, produce and talk live on-air. In the later half of that decade I worked as a DJ for a couple of skating rinks (reemember how popular that was back then). At the end of the 80's decade I had a 6 month DJing gig at a local dance club.

Throughout most of the 1990's I worked for a few entertainment companies as a moble DJ doing shows in the Eastern-Central Nebraska and Northern Kansas region. At the end of the 90's and for a first few years in the next decade I worked for various bands as a sound engineer and fill-in singer.

Throughout this whole time I still did a DJ gigs here and there, just for friends parties and weddings.

In 2007, I was one of the house DJs at Mary's Place (Lincoln, Nebraska) for a 10 month stint.

As of 2008, Tom founded his own company -- DJ Tom Productions. Currently DJ Tom operates within a 250 radius of Lincoln Nebraska. DJ Tom also works in conjuction with several other of the top independant Hip-hop & Karaoke DJs.
